Primula x pubescens 'Freedom'

This little alpine primula provides a good source of nectar for pollinators from mid winter to early spring,  the deep lilac coloured flowers give some welcome colour at that time of year and have the bonus of being lightly fragrant.  Plant in well drained soil with some shade in the summer, they will grow to a height and spread of 15cm. Hardy but protect from excessive winter wet.
