This very distinctive cone flower forms a mound of narrow hairy leaves topped with daisy flowers sporting light mauve narrow petals with greenish black centres. The petals are unusual in that they bend upwards. Is in flower from midsummer to early autumn. Attractive to butterflies, a good cut flower and deer and drought resistant. Grow in full sun or part shade in sandy normal or clay, neutral or alkaline soil. Grows to a height of 60cm and spread of 30cm.
