Large blue globes from June to September. A magnet for bees and butterflies whilst birds love the seeds. The leaves are thistle like but not at all prickly, it grows approximately 1.2m tall with a spread of 75cm and is also excellent as a cut or dried flower. Looks fantastic against a background of grey Artemisia or contrasting with yellow flowered Achilleas. Grows best in well drained soil in sun or part shade.
