This clump forming herbaceous form of clematis is ideal for climbing up small obelisks or as in their natural habitat over old stumps. It's nodding bell shaped deep rose pink flowers with their cream anthers on yellow filaments bloom from June through September. The petals are often twisted and recurved and interest is extended in winter with the silvery seed heads. Best grown in full sun with the roots shaded but can be grown in part shade, in any moist well drained, it grows to a height of 1.5m and spread of 1m. Hardy and a great cut flower.
