Has evergreen arrow shaped leaves, bronze at first turning dark green as they age, flowers with pale pink outer sepals and dark purple inner petals long are produced from mid to late spring. Cut back old foliage in early spring and mulch with compost or leaf mould in autumn. Grows best in moist well drained soil in part or full shade but will tolerate dryer soil than other epimediums. Grows to a height of 30cm and spread of 45cm.
