Eryngium 'Pen Blue'
A stunning fairly new variety of sea holly, it has large vivid violet blue thimble flowers which sit on a collar of long spiny blue bracts. The flowers appear July to September, start pale blue and darken as they age on their branching blue stems. Clump forming over mid green leaves. Position in full sun in well-drained soil where it will grow to a height of 60cm and spread of 45cm. A magnet for bees and makes a great cut flower it is fully hardy.
