Hebe pinguifolia 'Sutherlandii'
This hardy low growing evergreen shrub has small greyish green leaves and purple stems which contrast nicely with the racemes of white flowers that appear in spring and early summer. It makes a lovely informal hedge and is a good coastal plant as its tolerant of salt laden winds, also tolerant of pollution, the flowers are attractive to bees. Grow in any neural to alkaline soil in full sun or part shade where it will slowly reach a height of 30cm and spread of 100cm.
