Salvia flava var. Megalantha
This rare and unusual yellow flowering salvia with purple tip on the flower’s lower lip is also sometimes sold as Salvia Bulleyana. The leaves are crinkly green and also aromatic. Very attractive to bees and butterflies and makes a good cutting flower. Once established will flower from May to October. Is hardy to around -5c best planted in full sun or part shade in any soil in a sheltered well drained site and protected with a dry mulch in the autumn. Grows to a height of 60cm and spread of 45cm.
