Branching spires of intense dark violet-blue hooded flowers appear from July to September over mid green leaves on this low growing salvia. It dies down in winter but produces fresh growth in early spring. Perfect for adding colour to the front of borders , containers or gravel gardens. Plant in full sun or part shade in well drained soil where it will grow to a height and spread of 50cm. Very hardy, attractive to bees and butterflies, resistant to rabbits and deer, makes a good cut flower.
