Aster x frikartii. 'Wunder von Staffa'

Lavender blue flowers with yellow centres with a 2-3inch diameter appear from July to October. The flowers are slightly large than Aster frikarti Monch but the plant itself is more compact growing a height of 70cm  and flowering earlier. Hardy to -20c it grows well in full sun or part shade in most well drained moist soils and has good disease resistance. Its attractive to bees and butterflies and makes an excellent cut flower.
