Large, pale pink daisy like flowers with a prominent dark burnt orange cone appear from July until September. Native to American prairies it looks excellent planted with grasses but does equally well in a sunny herbaceous border as it doesn't require staking an excellent cut flower it is attractive to bees, birds and butterflies, very hardy. Grow in full sun in fertile, moist well-drained soil.
