A particularly lovely form of Echinops this variety bears tight globes of deep blue flowers from July to September on stiff silver stems over long deeply lobed clump forming leaves. It is extremely attractive to bees and butterflies and makes an excellent cut or dried flower. Position in full sun in well-drained soil where it will grow to a height of 90cm and spread of 50cm. Very hardy.
