This perennial sunflower has bright yellow daisy like flowers with a darker centre on dark wiry stems. It needs a fair bit of space and looks good at the back of the border as it is very tall hence it may need staking or can be chopped in May to reduce its height and encourage it to grow bushier. Flowering later in the year it is attractive to bees and butterflies and is also a good food source for birds. Grow in well drained soil in full sun it grows to a height and spread of 1.5m. Hardy
