This deciduous shrub hydrangea commonly known as the smooth hydrangea or wild hydrangea is one of the loveliest varieties the tightly packed bracts firstly appear lime green maturing to cream then white. In early summer it can have all three shades it makes a beautiful cut or dried flower. Plant in part shade with morning sun for best effect in moist soil. It does well in pots or containers, unchecked it can reach a height and spread of 2.5m. As it matures it won't need staking but young plants will in exposed sites. Prune and mulch in early spring. Very hardy.
