Similar but more subtle than Persicaria bistorta 'Superba' as 'Carnea' has smaller deeper pink flower spikes and narrow leaves. It flowers over a much longer period and can tolerate much drier conditions, flowering from June through to October. It's attractive to bees and butterflies and can be grown in full sun or part shade where it will reach a height and spread of 60cm. Very hardy.
