I wouldn't be without Pulmonaria Opal in my shade garden, with its pale violet blue flowers from mid winter to early spring. A semi-evergreen variety with variegated silver and green leaves it makes good ground cover. The leaves take on a silver tinge as they age looks stunning when planted next to dark leaved heucheras. Grow in moist humus rich soil in full or partial shade. Height and spread 50cm. Very hardy.
