This eye-catching salvia has dark wine purple stems with dark pink flower spikes in early summer, quite compact in growth it is adaptable to a lot of planting combinations. Deer and rabbit resistant but attractive to bees and butterflies. Drought tolerant and very hardy it does well in sandy, gravelly soils but is fine in average loamy soils in full sun. Grows to a height and spread of 30cm
