The branching flowering stems of this sanguisorba can reach a height of 2m. The fluffy drumstick shape flowers are deep rose pink with conspicuous stamens appear in summer. The foliage forms loose mounds with attractive jagged edged leaves. Excellent for prairie style planting or wild life gardens it may need some support in exposed sites. Grow in full sun or part shade in moist well drained soil that doesn't dry out. It spreads to 50cm and us hardy.
