Trollius chinensis Golden Queen

In May and June a profusion of orange flowers with yellow centres appear over divided green leaves providing welcome colour to a moist area especially good at waterside plantings. Mulch in spring to help keep the roots moist over summer. After flowering remove dead leaves and stalks. Makes a good cut flower and is attractive to butterflies yet resistant to rabbits. Grow in full sun or part shade in any moisture retentive soil. Grows to a height of 90cm and spread of 50cm.
